The left-arm bowler told the media after the fourth game against New Zealand that the Men in Green have the potential to advance to the finals of both the next Asia Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Shaheen Afridi said in response to a question regarding preparation that the series is really important to them because they will compete in two major events over the course of the next six months.

We will work together to take advantage of the circumstances in India for the 2023 World Cup and guide the national team to victory in the championship game.
The 22-year-old pacer continued by saying that he always gave it his all to achieve well for Pakistan and that he would work to do the same in the forthcoming ODI season in all three categories.
Shaheen responded that his role, whether it be the first or last over, is to attack the opposition and apply pressure, regardless of whether he can take a wicket in the first over.
