[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Following the final round of negotiations between outgoing leader Shehbaz Sharif and leader of the opposition in the National Assembly (NA), Raja Riaz, senator Anwaarul Haq Kakar was chosen interim prime minister on Saturday
The final consultation session was successful, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and Kakar’s name was agreed upon by both parties.
The advise was delivered to the president after being jointly signed by the prime minister and the opposition leader, according to the PMO.
Riaz was also complimented by Shehbaz for his participation during the consultation process and for leading the opposition so well over the previous 16 months.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, a former minister of communications, also affirmed that Kakar would succeed as interim PM.

Kakar’s nomination is approved by the president
In accordance with Article 224(1A) of the Constitution, President Arif Alvi accepted the appointment of Senator Anwaarul Haq Kakar as interim prime minister.
Soon after being sent for his approval, the president signed the recommendation in the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
