According to media reports, the selector has asked Amir to concentrate on his cricket and avoid making unnecessary statements in the media that could spark controversy.

According to the report, he will soon be asked to return to work, so he must continue to practise and stay fit until then.

Amir announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 in protest of the treatment he received from the then-management, led by Misbah ul Haq.

However, after Najam Sethi reclaimed control of the PCB, the chairman of the management committee stated in a media interview that Amir, like other players, would be considered for selection if he reversed his retirement.

“Mohammad Amir can return to international cricket for Pakistan if he reconsiders his retirement. I’ve always been staunchly opposed to match-fixing. I believe that no convicted player should be spared, but that a player should be allowed to return to international cricket after serving his years of punishment “Sethi stated.

In an interview earlier this year, Pakistan’s chief selector, Haroon Rasheed, reiterated Sethi’s stance on Amir’s selection.

“I believe that players should make decisions after careful deliberation.” Your single statement has the potential to spark debate. “Players, in my opinion, should concentrate on their cricket,” Haroon said.

“In Amir’s case, I’m not sure what his situation is. I’ve heard he’s considering resuming his retirement. It’s great that he’s playing. If he continues to perform well, he will be considered for selection alongside other players,” he added.

Despite his international retirement, Amir continues to play in leagues all over the world, most recently for Karachi Kings in the PSL 8.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
