Punjab police have arrested a security guard from a private college in Lahore’s Gulberg area following allegations of raping a first-year student, according to ARY News. The suspect reportedly fled after news of the incident went viral on social media. The police tracked him down within 10 hours on the outskirts of Lahore.
The incident took place at Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) Campus 10, where the student was allegedly assaulted by the guard, identified as Aun, in the college basement after being accidentally locked in during a break. Her cries for help were heard by a male teacher, leading to her discovery.

The police spokesperson stated that efforts are ongoing to locate the victim’s family and proceed with legal action. Reports indicate that the suspect had a history of inappropriate behavior towards female staff, raising concerns about safety protocols at the college. Allegedly, the administration has been pressuring students to stay quiet, focusing on protecting the institution’s reputation. The victim is currently being treated in the ICU.
