Seamless Day of Arafat Highlights Saudi Arabia’s Hajj 2025 Success

Saudi Arabia has earned praise for its exceptional organization of Hajj 2025, after 1.67 million pilgrims completed the critical Day of Arafat without any major security or health incidents. The smooth and secure environment was widely attributed to advanced planning and integrated digital solutions.

Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region, credited the Kingdom’s comprehensive service system for ensuring the timely and orderly movement of pilgrims from Makkah and Mina to Arafat. He highlighted the success of new technologies and operational strategies that kept congestion minimal and movement precise.

Modern transport, including the Mashair Train and updated buses, ran under tight schedules supported by artificial intelligence. AI systems monitored crowd density in real time, allowing for dynamic adjustments to pilgrim flow. The digital “Nusuk” card, integrated with smart platforms, enabled authorities to track and manage pilgrim movement through QR codes, enhancing both safety and efficiency.

The Ministry of Health also reported a 90% drop in heat exhaustion cases compared to last year, thanks to preventive care, education efforts, and strong coordination among health and emergency services. Officials emphasized that this performance reflects progress under Vision 2030, particularly in transforming health services and the pilgrim experience.

As pilgrims move on to Muzdalifah and Mina, Saudi Arabia’s Hajj management continues to showcase a blend of tradition and technology — positioning the Kingdom as a global leader in crowd management and religious service.
