Renowned Pakistani scriptwriter Khalilur Rehman Qamar was recently abducted and robbed in Lahore. According to reports, a woman named Amna invited Qamar to her home under the guise of discussing a drama project. Upon his arrival, armed men kidnapped him and carried out the robbery.

Qamar was reportedly forced to pay a substantial sum to his abductors before being released. The incident was reported to Sundar police station, who registered a case based on Qamar’s statement. The FIR details that Qamar was tortured, threatened, and taken to various locations. His mobile phone, watch, and cash were stolen, and Rs250,000 was transferred from his ATM card. The kidnappers blindfolded him and abandoned him in a deserted area before fleeing.

Khalilur Rehman Qamar is a prominent figure in Pakistani television and film, known for his impactful dramas such as “Mere Paas Tum Ho” and “Pyaray Afzal.” His outspoken views on gender roles and feminism have often led to public controversy and criticism. Despite this, Qamar has continued to express his opinions openly, maintaining a significant presence in the entertainment industry.
