After nearly three weeks of holidays, School activities are set to resume across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 1. Students will return to classrooms as educational institutions reopen following the March break.
The provincial government has introduced a new School timetable for all public institutions. Under the updated schedule, primary schools will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 1:35 p.m. The revised timing is expected to bring changes to the daily routine of students and teachers.
Officials say the new School schedule is not limited to academic changes. It also focuses on character building and student development. Morning assemblies have been made mandatory in every school. These assemblies will include speeches, discussions, and activities aimed at improving moral values.
In addition, schools have been directed to organize a weekly literary session called “Bazm-e-Adab.” This activity will take place on the last working day of each week. It is designed to promote creativity, language skills, and cultural awareness among students.
The notification also includes instructions for better management within schools. The final three periods of the last working day will be reserved for staff meetings and record maintenance. This step aims to improve administrative efficiency.
Authorities have also addressed the issue of teacher shortages. In cases where teachers are absent or on long leave, school heads and subject specialists will take over classes. This measure ensures that students do not face interruptions in their learning process.
District Education Officers have been directed to strictly implement the new guidelines. They are responsible for monitoring compliance in every School across the region. Officials believe this will help maintain discipline and improve overall performance.
The updated plan reflects the government’s focus on improving the education system. It combines academic learning with moral training and cultural activities. The initiative aims to provide a more balanced and structured environment for students.
Parents and students are advised to adjust their routines according to the new timings. With the reopening of School, authorities hope to create a more organized and effective learning environment.
