Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa expressed frustration with Punjab Additional Advocate General Balighuz Zaman, questioning how the government could build a road on private land without permission or proper compensation.
CJP Isa criticized the filing of a frivolous case in the Supreme Court, emphasizing that genuine cases are being neglected in favor of such cases that waste public resources and court time.

He pointed out that the petitioner did not voluntarily offer the land to the government, and the government did not acquire the land legally.
The case involved the construction of a road in Gujranwala by the Punjab government in 2007 on the property of a citizen named Liaquat Ali. Both the Appellate Court and the high court had ruled in favor of the landowner, a decision upheld by the Supreme Court. In rejecting the appeal from the Punjab government, the apex court mandated compensation for the landowner at the current rate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
