Itikaf, a religious ritual observed during Ramadan, involves Muslims retreating to a mosque for uninterrupted worship and prayer during the final ten days of the holy month. This year, Itikaf is scheduled to begin on Ramadan 20 (March 20) and will continue until the end of Ramadan. Following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), it provides an opportunity to deepen one’s connection with Allah, free from daily distractions.
Ramadan commenced on March 1 in Saudi Arabia and on March 2 in Pakistan, with thousands of worshippers expected to take part in Itikaf at the two holy mosques.
