Riyadh, January 1, 2025, SPA – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated its first series of aid shipments to Syria. Departing from King Khalid International Airport, the cargo plane is transporting food, shelter, and medical supplies to Damascus International Airport.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, informed the Saudi Press Agency that today’s airlift will be followed by a land-based delivery in the coming days. He underscored that these efforts reflect Saudi Arabia’s continued dedication to humanitarian aid as part of its longstanding tradition of supporting both brotherly and friendly nations across the globe.

He also pointed out the Kingdom’s sustained aid to Syria since the onset of the crisis in 2011, with Saudi Arabia playing a key role in global humanitarian efforts. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia has continually supported internally displaced Syrians, those in neighboring countries, and victims of the 2023 northern Syria earthquake. By the end of 2024, Saudi Arabia’s total aid to Syria reached $856,891,000.
