Minister Sardar Yousuf Calls For Creation Of Hazara Province

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf has urged the government to establish a separate Hazara Province. He said the move is necessary to improve governance and meet the needs of local communities.

During an interview with Samaa TV, the minister explained that creating new provinces is now a pressing requirement. According to him, smaller administrative units make it easier to deliver services and solve local issues.

Sardar Yousuf also pointed out that the idea of forming new provinces was part of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) election manifesto. He stressed that his party had already recognized the importance of addressing public concerns through structural reforms.

The minister argued that Hazara Province would give residents a stronger voice and ensure better representation in national politics. He added that such steps could reduce the sense of neglect often felt by smaller regions.

Speaking on political matters, Sardar Yousuf commented on the recent resignations of opposition lawmakers from parliamentary standing committees. He warned that abandoning such roles could harm the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politically.

He advised opposition members to continue performing their duties within parliament instead of walking away. According to him, active participation ensures accountability and strengthens the legislative process.

Yousuf highlighted that effective governance depends not only on administrative changes but also on a functioning parliament. He urged political leaders to focus on constructive dialogue rather than symbolic resignations.

The demand for Hazara Province has been raised multiple times over the years by local leaders and activists. Supporters believe it will bring development, jobs, and stronger infrastructure to the region. The call has once again gained attention following Yousuf’s fresh statement.
