During a press conference in the provincial capital, Khosa announced his decision to join PTI, revealing that he did so at the behest of Imran Khan, the former prime minister who has been incarcerated since early August. This move signifies Khosa’s departure from his longstanding association with the PPP and aligns him with the political landscape of PTI, a decision influenced by his connection with Imran Khan.
