Ex-Punjab Governor Latif Khosa Likely To Join PTI For Upcoming Elections

In a significant setback for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), former Punjab governor and prominent lawyer Latif Khosa has announced his intention to officially join the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). Khosa, aged 77, disclosed this decision. While discussing his move, he mentioned that the PTI, led by Imran Khan, had been urging him to join the party for some time, and he is currently in the process of finalizing this decision with input from friends and family.

During the announcement, Khosa shared that the details of his formal association with the PTI would be officially revealed in a press conference. The veteran politician also noted that discussions are ongoing to determine whether he will run in the upcoming elections on a PTI ticket or if his sons will participate.

It is worth noting that Latif Khosa had previously received a show-cause notice from the PPP for representing former Prime Minister Imran Khan in a corruption case. Additionally, Khosa, along with Aitzaz Ahsan, refrained from attending a PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting in Lahore. This move by Khosa comes amid a significant exodus of leaders from Tehreek-e-Insaf, marking a notable setback for the party following the May 9 attacks.
