The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released its latest men’s player rankings, showing notable movements across formats and highlighting strong performances from players representing Pakistan, India, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

A major highlight of the update was Pakistan’s Saim Ayub retaining the top position in the T20I all-rounders’ rankings, extending an impressive run that continues to define his growing stature in international cricket. Ayub’s consistency with both bat and ball has helped him stay ahead of elite all-round competitors.

Earlier this month, detailed analysis explained how Ayub regained the No.1 spot in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings after a series of impactful performances, from vital middle overs with the ball to match-winning cameos with the bat, underscoring why he continues to lead the charts and why experts are labeling him one of the most complete short-format players.

In the T20I bowlers’ rankings, India’s Varun Chakravarthy remained at number one, achieving a career-best rating of 818 through pinpoint spin and regular breakthroughs. New Zealand fast bowler Jacob Duffy held second place, while India’s Arshdeep Singh climbed four spots to 16th following impressive spells.

South Africa also saw movement in bowling rankings with Marco Jansen at 25th, Lungi Ngidi at 44th, and Bartman at 68th.

India strengthened its presence among T20I batters, with Tilak Varma rising to fourth and Abhishek Sharma retaining the top spot, while Shivam Dube reached 16th.

In Test cricket, Australia’s Mitchell Starc achieved a career-best second position among bowlers, reflecting his sustained excellence in the longest format.

Overall, the latest ICC update underlines how performances are reshaping global standings, with Saim Ayub retaining top spot in ICC rankings as cricket action intensifies.
