Saba Qamar Shares She Declined Film Offer with Deepika Padukone

Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar has recently disclosed that she turned down an offer to star alongside Deepika Padukone in the Bollywood film ‘Love Aaj Kal’. In a candid interview, Saba shared that before accepting her role in ‘Hindi Medium’, she received several offers from Bollywood, including parts in ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, and ‘Cocktail’.

Saba Qamar revealed, “I even auditioned for ‘Delhi 6’, but my mother did not approve, so I turned it down.” She also admitted that she declined ‘Love Aaj Kal’ because she believed that, with Deepika Padukone in the lead, her role would not receive much attention. “When the film was released, I watched it with my friends and realized I had made a huge mistake by turning it down,” she reflected.

Saba Qamar is widely recognized for her role in ‘Hindi Medium’, where she starred opposite the legendary actor Irrfan Khan, playing his wife. Her decision to turn down roles in major Bollywood films highlights the choices and considerations actors must make in their careers.
