[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan showed his everlasting dedication to his morals and principles by refusing to wear a shirt with the Wolf777 News logo on it.

Despite the threat of a fine, Rizwan concealed the sponsor’s insignia on his shirt.

Multan Sultans has joined forces with Wolf777 News, a sports website that can be found at Wolf777news.com. But, if you Google Wolf777, the first few results include Wolf777casino.com, which is a live online casino website. Surrogate websites disguised as news are sometimes used by betting or casino websites to advertise their services.

Rizwan’s sudden change of heart comes after donning the Wolf777 News emblem on his shirt throughout the PSL 8 group stages.

Multan Sultans, who are sponsored by Wolf777 News, released the following statement last year after the Pakistan Cricket Board contacted them for clarifications following speculation that their partners were encouraging betting/gambling via their individual websites:

Multan Sultans: “Wolf777 News is a sports website that is trying to compete on a regional level with other sports news websites. Multan Sultans categorically denies the speculation that Wolf777 News has any connection to betting/gambling nor there are links or tabs on its portal to any betting/gambling website. Our association is with Wolf777News only.

“As a responsible company, we are aware of our obligations and will not be linked with or support a partner who encourages betting or gambling.”

It’s unclear why Sultans permitted their captain to cover the logo if they feel the website has nothing to do with the aforementioned casino website.
