Speaking on a prime-time show, the senior PML-N member said both Trump and Imran Khan use misinformation, mock opponents, and challenge institutions to hold onto political influence, citing the January 6 Capitol riot as an example of Trump’s actions.
When asked if Pakistan might release Imran Khan at the U.S.’s request, Sanaullah expressed doubt but said he would support an extradition if it included a swap for Aafia Siddiqui. He added that Pakistani leaders’ congratulatory messages to Trump are routine diplomatic gestures without deep political implications.
