Rainfall Expected Across Multiple Cities Starting February 18 PMD Forecast

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting rainfall across several cities beginning February 18, offering a welcome relief after a prolonged dry spell. According to the department, the weather system will help improve air quality and ease the impacts of the dry conditions.

Monday, February 17, is expected to remain dry with humidity levels between 31 and 35 percent. In Islamabad, the air pollution index stands at 152, indicating moderate air quality. However, from February 18 to 20, a weather system will bring rain to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and various cities in interior Punjab.

In addition to the rainfall, the PMD has warned of a high pollen count in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, with pollen levels expected to rise during this period. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions due to the potential weather changes.

In Lahore, while dry weather is forecasted with a 10% chance of rain, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 10°C, reaching a high of 25°C. The hill stations of Murree and Galyat will experience cloudy skies, light rain, and light snowfall.
