Rain, Thunderstorm Forecasted for Twin Cities Today

Rains and thunderstorms are forecasted to hit Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Saturday, providing relief from the scorching heat. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued an advisory indicating cloudy weather with chances of rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in the capital and surrounding areas.

Temperatures in the capital are expected to range between 25°C to 37°C on Saturday, attributed to a Shallow westerly wave affecting upper and western regions of the country.

The rainy conditions are anticipated to continue into Sunday before giving way to sunny weather.

In terms of air quality, Islamabad recorded a pollution level of 69, showing a decrease compared to the previous week.

Across Pakistan, mostly hot and dry weather is predicted, with very hot temperatures and windstorm-dust raising winds in central and southern areas. Partly cloudy conditions with chances of rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are expected in isolated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, western/northern Balochistan, central/southern Punjab, Islamabad, the Potohar region, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Showers and hailstorms may occur at isolated spots in KP and Kashmir during this period.
