Railways to continue Green line operation across country.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique stated on Friday that the Green Line passenger train service between Islamabad and Karachi will resume on January 27. The minister announced on Twitter that the new coaches-equipped Green Line train will begin running on January 27. The train’s coaches were also examined by the minister.

The train has two parlour coaches with air conditioning, five business coaches with air conditioning, six standard class coaches with air conditioning, and four to five economy class coaches. In order to restore the passengers’ faith in the national railways, the minister also gave the official in charge instructions to cut the Green Line’s travel time from Lahore to Karachi to under 20 hours.

“It has also been determined to offer the best travel amenities possible aboard the Green Line train, including the provision of top-notch food and maintaining a reasonable ticket price. Additionally, a separate LCD will be installed on each seat in the AC Parlor so that customers can watch their preferred videos using headphones, according to a railroad official. It is important to note that the Green Line Train will now begin operations on January 27 instead of December 20, as originally planned, due to a variety of financial and other concerns.
