Traditionally, the dish involved slow-cooking a whole goat seasoned with special spices, often taking several hours—a practice tied to communal gatherings and celebrations. Today, establishments like Afghan Khaddi Kabab House on Najmuddin Road have modernized its preparation while staying true to its authentic flavor.

Speaking about the revival, the restaurant owner shared: “Food lovers say that despite modern methods, the preparation of Khaddi Kebab still honours its original tradition. When paired with Kabuli Pulao, the taste becomes even more delightful.”

A local resident added: “After two and a half to three hours of cooking, the aroma and flavour of the dish truly captivate the senses.”

As traditions meet innovation, Khaddi Kebab continues to be a symbol of Balochistan’s rich food culture—drawing both locals and visitors to experience its unforgettable taste.
