The Punjab government has introduced new school timings for the summer season, which will be in effect for the next two months. This adjustment by the provincial administration aims to provide relief to school-going children as temperatures continue to climb.

According to a notification from the provincial education department, the revised school schedule is as follows: classes will commence at 7:45 am and conclude at 1:15 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the class timings will be from 7:45 am to 11:45 am.’

For schools operating in double shifts, the first shift will run from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm, and the second shift will take place from 12:45 pm to 5:15 pm.

While these changes have been put in place to cope with the rising heat, the Punjab government has not yet announced the dates for the summer vacations, which are typically expected to begin in early June.
