The Punjab government has announced new market timings across the province after Eid ul Fitr. Under the latest order, all shops and markets will now close at 10:00 PM, returning to the usual schedule followed before Eid.
Earlier, authorities had extended business hours during Eid ul Fitr, allowing markets to stay open longer to manage increased shopping activity. This temporary relaxation was introduced to support both traders and customers during the festive period.
With Eid celebrations now concluded, the extended timings have been withdrawn. Officials have directed all traders and shopkeepers to strictly follow the restored closing time of 10 PM.
Authorities said the decision signals a return to normal business routines across Punjab, as standard working hours resume after the holiday season.
