Punjab Schools' Eid Holidays: Latest Update

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Schools typically close for Eidul Fitr annually, with this year’s anticipated closure expected to commence on April 9. Eidul Fitr, celebrated by Muslims worldwide, including Pakistan, marks the conclusion of the fasting month of Ramadan. It is projected to occur on April 10, 2024 in Pakistan based on scientific observations indicating the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on the 29th of Ramadan. However, the final decision regarding Eidul Fitr will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

While the Punjab government has yet to provide specific details about school holidays, it is anticipated that educational institutions will be shut from April 9 to April 14 if Eid falls on April 10. In the event of a 30-day Ramadan, schools in Sindh would observe holidays from April 10 to 14, as Eid is expected to fall on April 11.
