Punjab Higher Education Commission Bans Dance Performances on Indian Songs in Colleges
LAHORE – The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) has issued a strict directive banning dance performances on Indian songs and other “immoral and indecent activities” in both public and private colleges across the province.

New Directives for Colleges
A circular has been sent to all Directors of Colleges and Principals, instructing them to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
According to the circular:
– Dances and Indian songs are strictly prohibited at events such as sports galas and fun fairs.
– Inappropriate attire and indecent language during college events will not be tolerated.
– College administrations must prioritize students’ education and character building.
Strict Action Against Violations
Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against institutions or individuals who fail to comply with these guidelines.
The move comes as part of Punjab’s efforts to regulate cultural activities in educational institutions and promote a more academically focused environment.
