In a significant move, nearly 30,000 driving licenses were issued in a single day across Punjab.
According to official data, 29,694 individuals received their licenses through the Punjab Police’s City Traffic Police (CTP) departments under the Driving License Issuance Management System (DLIMS), designed to streamline and improve access to licensing services.
Alongside license issuance, authorities enforced traffic regulations strictly, issuing over 51,000 challans in one day and collecting fines totaling Rs. 44 million.
As part of an environmental crackdown, 402 challans were issued to smoke-emitting vehicles, while 35 vehicles involved in serious violations were impounded and sent to local police stations.
