The Excise Department has implemented a new online verification process for imported vehicle documents to enhance the integrity of vehicle registrations and address the issue of counterfeit paperwork. Under this new policy, vehicle registrations in Lahore and across Punjab are now prohibited without first completing an online verification of their documents.
An official communication has been dispatched to customs authorities requesting access to their online verification systems for validating imported vehicle documentation. This initiative aims to streamline the registration process by ensuring that only vehicles with authentic paperwork are registered.
