Students at Punjab College in Lahore held protests demanding justice for a student allegedly raped by a security guard. The demonstrators called for accountability in this case and others, citing threats from the college administration.
Students from other colleges also joined the protest outside Campus 10, aiming to hold the administration accountable for its handling of the situation and seeking justice for the victim. The incident involved a first-year student who was allegedly assaulted after being trapped in the college basement during a break.

The accused guard has been arrested, and Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Faisal Karman confirmed that a special team was investigating after unverified reports surfaced. The college administration is reportedly cooperating with the investigation, in line with the Punjab Government’s “zero-tolerance” policy on violent crimes.
However, protesters accuse the administration of prioritizing the institution’s reputation over student safety and transparency, which has fueled outrage. The demonstration highlights ongoing concerns about campus safety and the need for transparency in handling such incidents at educational institutions.
