Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has embarked on an official eight-day visit to China, following an invitation from the Communist Party of China. She is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including key ministers like Marriyum Aurangzeb, Agriculture Minister Ashiq Karmani, and others. This visit marks her as the first female CM of Punjab to travel to China.
The delegation’s visit, which will last until December 15, includes stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. During her trip, CM Nawaz will engage with senior Chinese officials, ministers, and experts to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities in various sectors such as governance, agriculture, technology, and infrastructure.

In addition to her diplomatic mission, CM Maryam Nawaz’s commitment to domestic welfare is reflected in her launch of the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme, aimed at helping 100,000 electricity consumers in the region transition to solar energy. This visit not only seeks to deepen Pakistan-China relations but also highlights Nawaz’s dedication to improving both international ties and local living standards.
