The interim government issued a notification declaring December 25 as a public holiday to officially observe Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas. The Cabinet Division made this announcement, ensuring that both occasions are formally celebrated across the country. The State Bank of Pakistan has also aligned with this decision, declaring a public holiday on December 25. In a statement, the central bank mentioned,

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on December 25, 2023 (Monday) being a public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”
