PTI has rescheduled its Lahore rally to September 22 due to Eid Miladun Nabi

On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a rescheduling of its Lahore rally to September 22 due to Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations. The change was confirmed by the PTI core committee, which highlighted that the observance of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, celebrating the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), will be marked with religious zeal.

Special programs will also be held in Islamabad and other provincial capitals to honor the occasion. The PTI statement raised concerns about the treatment of the party’s founding chairman by the jail administration and praised his recent nomination for the position of Oxford University Chancellor.

The PTI is also planning a rally in Islamabad on September 8, with various committees assigned specific roles for the event. The party has pledged to oppose any bill in the National Assembly that conflicts with the constitution or threatens judicial independence, and intends to challenge such bills in court.

The core committee expressed concerns over the recounts in NA-181, NA-154, and NA-79, where PTI-backed candidates were reportedly defeated. Additionally, support has been directed towards Raees Hassan Mustafa for the NA-171 by-election in Rahim Yar Khan.
