Azam Khan, who has been missing for some time, purportedly recorded the statement before a judicial magistrate. However, his current whereabouts remain unknown. The PTI spokesperson emphasized that until Azam Khan’s whereabouts are confirmed, the authenticity of his statement cannot be verified.

The cypher controversy revolves around the deposed premier’s allegations that the US was involved in a plan to remove him from power.
Later, the blame was shifted to the former army chief, General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa. Khan’s statement mentions the alleged interaction between him, the foreign secretary, and the PTI chief regarding the cypher, but the PTI questions the reliability of these claims.
