PM hopes policy continuity from caretakers

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting to review the reforms in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) on Wednesday. He emphasized the need for swift and transparent reforms in the loss-making units and directed the authorities to ensure the inclusion of experts in the boards of SOEs to modernize their systems and enhance efficiency.

The Prime Minister assured that the caretaker government, expected to take over in the second week of August, would continue to pursue policies in the national interest to ensure consistent progress.

Separately, on the occasion of Kashmir’s Day of Accession to Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed unwavering support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people. He stressed the importance of a just and peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute, stating that durable peace in South Asia can only be achieved through its fair settlement.

The Prime Minister condemned the relentless Indian persecution of Kashmiris and grave violations of human rights, urging the UN and international community to implement the UN resolutions regarding Kashmir.
