PTI Demands Release of Arrested Workers in Government Talks

PTI leader Asad Qaiser reaffirmed the demand for releasing arrested workers, stating this was conveyed to the government during ongoing talks. He emphasized that the decision now lies with the government, urging it to act.

Qaiser expressed concerns about human rights violations, drawing attention from the international community, and called on the Chief Justice to take notice. He also urged lawyers to unite, citing divisions within the legal community.

Additionally, he called for transparent trials concerning the May 9 incident and linked PTI founder’s release to the workers’ release. Qaiser stressed the need for reevaluating foreign policy, particularly advocating negotiations with Afghanistan.

In legal matters, the Peshawar High Court extended Qaiser’s interim bail until January 30 for three cases, with additional bail already secured in 11 others. He was instructed to appear in relevant courts by January 30.
