PTA Targets Disinformation Campaigns
According to PTA, the blocked content was actively spreading misleading narratives, attempting to manipulate public perception and undermine national unity. These measures are part of the Authority’s ongoing crackdown on digital disinformation, especially from foreign sources.
“This step is essential to prevent the misuse of digital platforms against Pakistan’s national interests,” said the PTA.
Commitment to Online Safety
The PTA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a secure and trustworthy online environment for users across Pakistan. It emphasized that it will continue monitoring online content and take decisive action against any digital material that poses a threat to national cohesion or public order.

This latest wave of content blocking serves as a clear message that Pakistan will not tolerate digital misinformation, especially when it originates from hostile elements across the border.
