[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The PTA Zonal Office Lahore, in collaboration with the FIA Cyber Crime Circle, successfully conducted a raid on a mobile phone company franchise in Sheikhupura to combat the misuse of illegal SIM cards.

According to a statement from the PTA, illegal SIM cards are often associated with criminal activities such as fraud, identity theft, and other illicit operations. During the raid, the FIA seized 6 active SIMs and 11 BVS devices used in the unauthorized activation of SIMs. Two individuals have been named in the FIR, and the FIA is currently conducting further investigations.

It’s worth noting that the PTA has implemented a monitoring and detection system to identify unusual patterns and anomalies related to SIM card activations. This technological enhancement enables swift intervention and provides insights into suspicious SIM activations.
