PSL 8

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The PSL Season 8 is set to be a cricketing extravaganza that fans cannot afford to miss, with international stars and local legends taking to the crease.

On the sidelines, however, there are a few familiar faces cheering on their teams as they compete for glory. This season, actors, musicians, and other celebrities will be seen wearing their favourite colours as the players take the field.

Nadeem Omar’s franchise has long been a favourite of actors Maya Ali and Bilal Ashraf. The celebrity couple was joined by Nauman Ijaz, Ushna Shah, and boxing champion Usman Wazeer. The team has yet to release a music video, but the presence of Iftikhar Ahmed and Naseem Shah is already alarming opposing teams and fans. With the last three seasons being rather forgettable, Quetta will need all of Maya Ali and Bilal Ashraf’s luck to make it to the finish line.

Peshawar Zalmi, arguably the PSL’s biggest franchise and also the most popular after Babar Azam’s transfer, took brand ambassadors a little too seriously by bringing in a slew of domestic and international stars to their team. Because of the excitement, they forgot to bring in a proper fast bowler and had to rely on the mercurial Wahab Riaz to get them through. Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, Farhan Saeed, and viral sensation Dananeer Mobeen were among those on the list. It was a pleasure to see these celebrities show their support for the yellow and black, and we can’t wait to see who Peshawar Zalmi has in store for us this year.

The Multan Sultans don’t need outside star power because they have it all in-house! The Sultans are ready to make some noise on and off the field, thanks to a roster full of big-hitting superstars like Mohammad Rizwan.

While they’ve previously hosted brand ambassadors such as Neelum Muneer, Ahsan Khan, and Momal Sheikh, the Sultans understand that their true power lies in their players. The Sultans are a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the field, with Rizwan leading the charge.

Karachi’s franchise has attracted celebrities as well as controversies. With all of the pre-season commotion reaching a climax, the team’s premier ambassadors, Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa, will provide some respite.

The duo will be joined by Adnan Siddiqui and the usual ARY suspects, and we also caught a glimpse of Kinza Hashmi in the dugout last year, so who knows what surprises Karachi has in store for us. However, more than the celebrities, Karachi will be ensuring that the record is set straight after the disastrous campaign last year.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
