PSL 11 Auction Brings Major Category Changes for Players

Ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 player auction, a revised list of player categories has been released, reflecting significant changes for several local cricketers.

Reports indicate that a number of prominent players have seen adjustments in their category placements. For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Naseem Shah continue in the Platinum category. Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan has been promoted from Gold to Platinum, and both Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Nawaz have moved up from Diamond to Platinum. Conversely, wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has dropped from Diamond to Gold.

At Karachi Kings, Hassan Ali has been elevated from Diamond to Platinum, whereas Abbas Afridi moves down from Platinum to Diamond. Khushdil Shah and Aamir Jamal have dropped from Diamond to Gold, and Irfan Munir shifts from Gold to Silver. Shan Masood retains his Diamond status.For Lahore Qalandars, stalwarts Shahid Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf remain in Platinum, while Sultan Mirza rises from Gold to Diamond. Mohammad Naim moves from Emerging to Silver.

Peshawar Zalmi players Babar Azam and Saim Ayub stay in Platinum, while Mohammad Haris and Mohammad Ali drop from Diamond to Gold.At Multan Sultans, Mohammad Rizwan continues in Platinum. Osama Mir and Iftikhar Ahmed move up from Platinum to Diamond, Mohammad Hasnain drops from Diamond to Gold, and Aaqib Javed rises from Silver to Gold.

For Quetta Gladiators, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Amir maintain their Platinum positions. Abrar Ahmed earns promotion from Diamond to Platinum, while Waseem Junior and Othman Tariq move from Gold to Diamond. Emerging players Khawaja Nafees and Hassan Nawaz advance to Gold.
