PSL 10 Karachi Rolls Out Tight Security for Matches at National Bank Stadium

A robust and comprehensive security plan has been implemented for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 matches taking place at the National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi. The tournament, which kicked off yesterday, will see thousands of law enforcement personnel deployed to ensure a safe environment for all involved.

According to the security plan, 6,700 police personnel have been assigned duties at key locations including the stadium, team hotels, Karachi Airport, and along transport routes. This force includes 1,666 members from the Security Division, comprising 950 SSU commandos and policewomen commandos. Additional support comes from 1,390 Traffic Police officials, 328 Special Branch members, and personnel from district police and other agencies.

To further bolster security, expert marksmen have been stationed at sensitive spots, while a SWAT team at SSU headquarters remains on high alert. This unit will also patrol areas surrounding the stadium to respond swiftly to any emergency. A dedicated SSU command and control bus will be deployed to monitor the overall law and order situation near the venue.

Strict measures have been introduced, including a ban on the use of CNG cylinders and drones within stadium premises. Authorities have emphasized their commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful atmosphere for players, staff, and fans throughout the PSL 10 matches.

Spectators are urged to cooperate with law enforcement and adhere to security guidelines to ensure the success and safety of the event.
