For the first time, the admission process will be managed under a centralized policy, meaning UHS will handle all admissions for private medical colleges, including Azra Naheed Medical College.
A meeting of UHS officials, stakeholders, and vice-chancellors is expected soon to finalize the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the admission process at private institutions.
Sources suggest that this year, there might be a reduction in tuition fees for private medical colleges, with the federal government tasked with determining the revised fee structure.
The centralized policy is designed to bring more transparency and uniformity to the admission process across all private medical colleges in the province.
