In a notable diplomatic gesture, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to undertake an official trip to the United Arab Emirates on May 23. This visit marks his inaugural journey to the UAE since assuming office as Prime Minister.

As per the statement from the Foreign Office, Prime Minister Sharif will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising key Cabinet Ministers. The primary objective of the visit is to fortify the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE, with a specific focus on advancing trade and investment opportunities.

During his sojourn, Prime Minister Sharif is slated to hold discussions with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The deliberations between the two leaders will center on strengthening the multifaceted ties between their respective nations, which are grounded in shared religious and cultural affinities.

Apart from his meeting with Sheikh Mohamed, Prime Minister Sharif is anticipated to engage with other prominent Emirati dignitaries, business figures, and leaders of financial institutions. These interactions aim to promote economic cooperation and identify new avenues for reciprocal investments.
