PPP’s Saba Talpur Dominates NA-213 By-Election in Umerkot
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Saba Talpur has claimed a decisive victory in the NA-213 by-election in Umerkot, surpassing her rival from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Lal Malhi.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results from 479 polling stations, Talpur garnered a total of 158,446 votes, significantly outpacing Malhi, who secured 79,790 votes.

Nisar Khuhro, a senior PPP leader, extended his congratulations to Talpur on what is expected to be her victory in the by-election.
For context, the late Nawab Yousaf Talpur, Saba Talpur’s predecessor, had won the NA-213 seat with an overwhelming 175,162 votes in the 2018 general elections. His closest competitor, Mir Amanullah Talpur of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), had managed to secure only 44,061 votes.
