We are excited to announce that PPL provisionally secured 8 blocks during the recent competitive bidding round held by the Government of Pakistan on October 31, 2025. The company submitted bids for 8 offshore blocks and provisionally obtained 2 as operator and 6 as joint venture (JV) partner, in a 100 percent turnaround, on November 12.
The final award of blocks is hinged on execution of production sharing agreements as well as joint operating agreements among JV partners, grant of exploration licenses and completion of legal/ procedural formalities.
PPL remains committed to securing energy for the nation through increasing its exploration and production footprint locally and internationally to find new oil and gas reserves in order to plug the energy supply and demand gap.
