Poland’s Shopping Center Fire Affects 1,400 Stores

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]A massive fire broke out in a Warsaw shopping centre, nearly destroying the entire complex, authorities reported. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Marywilska 44 shopping centre, which housed almost 1,400 commercial units, including numerous kiosks, was one of the largest in Warsaw. It was owned and managed by Mirbud.

“Nearly 100% of the centre has been burned. Extinguishing the fire is ongoing and will take many hours, possibly several more,” said Mariusz Feltynowski, the commander-in-chief of the State Fire Service, during a news conference on Sunday. He mentioned that almost 200 firefighters were involved in the efforts to put out the blaze.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
