PML-N Withdraws from AJK Government, Demands Fair Elections

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has officially withdrawn from the Azad Kashmir government, announcing it will now serve as the opposition. PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir stated that while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) holds the democratic right to move a no-confidence motion, the PML-N will not join any “unnatural” or power-driven coalition.

He cautioned that party members violating official policy would face strict disciplinary action. Qadir emphasized that a strong and legitimate government in AJK can only emerge through transparent and fair general elections. He reiterated PML-N’s commitment to the welfare of refugees and overseas Kashmiris, highlighting the party’s growing strength and organizational unity.

The PML-N leadership confirmed plans to launch an energetic election campaign under Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, focusing on restoring public trust and ensuring democratic stability in the region.
