This decision follows reports that several Pakistani students were enrolled in institutions not recognized by their host countries.

Under the new policy, Pakistani students pursuing medical and dental studies must obtain an NOC from the relevant authority.

An official from the Ministry of National Health Services stated that over 3,000 Pakistani students travel abroad for medical studies annually, with around 18,000 currently studying medicine and dentistry in foreign countries.
