PMDC introduces online portal to register doctors.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]To assist doctors across the nation, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has lately created a web-based platform.

The license platform was introduced as a priority when the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) was replaced by the PMDC, according to a PMDC official.

The official advises over 10,000 local medical graduates who have been waiting a long time for permanent registration to submit an online registration application.

The strict limitations of the PMC previously caused problems for these graduates.

The PMDC began offering good-standing accreditations and renewals on the first day of operations, and it also issued 1,500 registration certificates.

The official continued by stating that the PMDC no longer requires Pakistani doctors to pass the National Licensing Examination (NLE) in order to get certificates of permanent registration.

Under the previous PMC regime, local graduates were required to pass the NLE test even after graduating from Pakistani medical and dental schools in order to obtain permanent registration.

This change is expected to benefit a number of doctors who were previously denied registration due to this requirement.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
