PM Shehbaz Sharif said Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) will ultimately gain freedom from India and unite with Pakistan. He emphasized that the youth will play a vital role in achieving this goal.
The Prime Minister made these remarks while addressing a laptop distribution ceremony at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad on Wednesday.
Referring to the Indian atrocities in IOJK, PM Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the immense sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri cause and securing their right to self-determination.

Under the Pakistan Endowment Fund, PM Shehbaz Sharif announced that students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and other regions will receive scholarships for education both in Pakistan and abroad. The initiative aims to empower youth and provide them with better educational opportunities.
He said the laptops provided to students are given purely on merit. “These are not just machines but a vision that helps youth continue education and earn livelihoods, especially during COVID-19,” he added.
The Prime Minister further announced plans to establish four state-of-the-art Daanish schools in Azad Kashmir. He also confirmed the creation of a Daanish University in the region to further promote quality education.
PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan’s collective efforts, focus on education, and youth empowerment are crucial for strengthening the nation. He urged the younger generation to actively participate in nation-building and support the Kashmiri cause.
