PM leaves for Saudi Arabia to meet Crown Prince MBS.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will embark on an official visit to Saudi Arabia today at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the Foreign Office confirmed.

Senior cabinet members will accompany the premier, who is scheduled to meet the Crown Prince for wide-ranging talks on Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations. The agenda includes strengthening historic ties, exploring new areas of cooperation, and reviewing regional and global developments.

The Foreign Office highlighted that the visit will further cement the longstanding partnership between the two nations, rooted in shared faith, values, and trust. Both leaders are expected to discuss ways to expand collaboration in diverse sectors for the benefit of their people.

Since assuming office, Shehbaz Sharif has visited Saudi Arabia multiple times. In October 2024, both countries signed 34 MoUs to boost private sector collaboration and commercial links. This year, the prime minister has already made two trips — in March to enhance trade and investment, and in June to spend Eidul Adha in the Kingdom.

Officials believe this latest visit will provide another opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation and reinforce Pakistan’s strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia

Yesterday, it was reported that PM Shehbaz Sharif May Meet Trump on September 25
