The PM has instructed the Ministry of Energy and power distribution companies to deliver a comprehensive briefing on this matter, as stated by the PM Office Media Wing in a press release on Saturday.

During the meeting, strategies will be discussed to offer the utmost relief to the public regarding their electricity bills.
In a separate post on his X account, the prime minister mentioned that he has organized an urgent meeting at the PM House to address these concerns and will engage in consultations to ensure maximum relief for power consumers.
Earlier, citizens in various parts of Pakistan, including the financial hub Karachi, protested inflated power tariffs by setting their electricity bills on fire, as the nation grapples with soaring inflation and financial challenges.
Amid nationwide demonstrations, people have been urging fellow residents through local mosques not to pay the elevated electricity bills, as both middle-class individuals and businesses find themselves financially strained due to recent price hikes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
